Worx Landroid Invasion

Collaborating with Men At Work, we produced video and stills for the Landroid Invasion in Ballina NSW, where a dozen Worx Robotic lawnmowers were dropped off to several people in the region to demonstrate the practicality of the machines.

The challenge for our production was finding a way to make these robots - which work tirelessly over several hours, seem compelling in a short video format, and so we decided to go down a comic book panel path.

The orange of the machines, contrast well with the green grass and we found that a mixture of shots, really allowed otherwise similar footage to look action packed. Not to mention that we found moments to suggest that the mowers were “alive!”.

Our fast turnaround meant that our content was able to air that night on the local WIN news channel and on social news sites.
